654 describes the geometrical, mechanical and transmission attributes of a single-mode optical fibre and cable which has the zero-dispersion wavelength around 1300 nm wavelength, and which is loss-minimized and cut-off wavelength shifted at around the 1550 nm. Recommendation ITU-T G. E, support high-capacity long-haul terrestrial networks. Employing pure silica core technologies, we promise to contribute to low attenuation optical cable deployment. This is equivalent to 1% strain STL controls every stage of the manufacturing process so that quality is built in to every meter of fiber, rather than selected out at the end through testing. Coherent optical technology and G. E, allow for the provision of an additional network margin that can be leveraged to enable reliable, high-data-rate transmissions over longer spans and extended reach.
The Raman Lab shares space and facilities with the Nano-optics group led by Baptiste Auguie, which includes a single-nanoparticle micro-spectroscopy set-up and a CD spectrometer for circular dichroism.
