Its primary function is to split the optical signal of one input optical fiber into multiple optical signals and transmit them to multiple channels of optical fibers or other optical devices. Unlike active devices (which require power), splitters operate without electricity, relying solely on the physics of. Fiber optic splitters are essential passive devices in modern optical communication systems, enabling the division of a single light signal into multiple outputs or combining multiple signals into one.
Due to the rise of 5G, IoT, AI, and high-performance computing applications, datacenter trafic has grown at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 30%. Furthermore, nearly three-fourths of the datacent.
On February 19, 2026, Converged Technology Networks (CTN) announced plans for Malawi's first micro data centre, specifically designed for local AI and cloud services. Recently, I set up and ran an instance of OpenClaw on a local server here in Malawi. From a technical point of view, it was exciting. Micro data centres provide compact, self-contained computing power closer to users, reducing latency, costs, and reliance on foreign.
